Woman Saves Over 6,000 Stray Animals in 16 Years
A woman in Handan City, Hebei Province, has saved more than 6,000 stray cats and dogs within 16 years at an animal rescue and adoption center that she founded; among them many have already been adopted.
Zhao Hua, 54, closed down a restaurant she ran to establish an animal adoption center in Handan, where more than 400 stray, sick, disabled or abandoned cats and dogs are now living.
Many caring residents are lending a hand by donating food due to the large number of cats and dogs.
“Healthy cats and dogs can be adopted for free,” Zhao said, “and we will take care of those sick and disabled ones till the end of their lives.”
