Soldiers Hold Weddings At China-Pakistan Border

Three frontier soldiers held their weddings at Khunjerab, a checkpoint on the border with Pakistan at an altitude of 5,100 meters, on March 6.

The brides were dressed in wedding gowns rented in Kashgar, in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, over 300 kilometers from the border.

Three newly weds took a solemn oath against chilliness and promised their faith in love before the No.7 boundary marker, to the applause and blessings of their fellow soldiers.

They also cleaned up the boundary marker together.
