A short video entitled "Who Am I" has gone viral on Chinese social media. The one-and-a-half minute clip was produced by CCTV in honor of the 95th anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

The video begins with a voice asking: "Who am I? What kind of person am I? Maybe you've never thought about it." It then tells the stories of six ordinary Party members.

First, a college student turns off the lights when leaving a classroom, with the narrator saying: "I'm the one who leaves last."

After that, a street sweeper wanders through an empty street, as the narrator says: "I am the one who comes to work earliest."

Then the video shows a life-saving doctor, with the voice-over stating: "I'm the one who thinks least of myself."

Then there’s a police officer directing traffic in a rainstorm. The message here is: "I'm the one who sticks to the last."

As a man replaces a light for his neighbors, the message is: "I'm the one who acts fastest."

After that comes images of a village cadre, with a voice-over saying: "I'm the one who cares about others most.”

The video concludes with the message: "I'm the Communist Party of China. I'm always with you."

After watching the video, the first of its kind, Chinese netizens said they love this new form of propaganda. One netizen said, "The ad delivers strength and positive energy."

According to The Paper, the advertisement was filmed in Shanghai over the course of three days, while the entire production took 20 days to complete.
