A new song by a Shanghai choir has become an instant hit in China.

The song, titled "What I Do Is For Your Own Good," has gained 28 million views since its release on January 17.

It describes the embarrassing situation that most young people are likely to experience during the Spring Festival holiday when nagging relatives ask a lot of questions about love life, work and study.

Some of the questions can be "have you got a boyfriend/girlfriend?"

 "Is there anyone you like?"

"How much do you earn every month?"

"Do you want to join my company?"

The song tries to enlighten people about handling such situation. Some netizens said they can’t help but burst into laughter when reading the funny lyrics.

Shanghai Rainbow Chamber Singers, who presented the song, was established in 2010. The founding members are students from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Their previous songs "Where on Earth Did You Leave the Key, Zhang Shichao?" and "So Far, the Sofa Is So Far" also went viral on social media.
