Creative Students Answer Exam Papers with Funny Emoticons
A student in Foshan City of southern China’s Guangdong Province has left his mathematics exam paper with funny emoticons, which later went viral online.
The final exam paper for second-year high school students was then photographed by the teacher and posted online.
The student who failed to answer the last question wrote with funny emoticons: “Teacher, I’ve tried my best but still can’t work it out. Could you please give me 1 point so that I can go back home for the Spring Festival without an empty hand?”
The student also drew a cute face with a flower on hand, reading “flower for you,” to show his gratitude.
Actually, such unusual answer was not uncommon in Foshan. Another student who also failed to answer one question on paper wrote, “You will find the answer on Baidu (China’s biggest online search engine).” There’s even one student writing English composition in Japanese.
“These students would get no points if they failed to give the right answers,” said an official surnamed Peng from the teaching and research office at Foshan’s Education Bureau. “Otherwise it’s unfair to those who are working on the paper seriously.”
Exam papers written with information that may indicate or disclose students’ personal identity will be considered as cheating in big, formal examinations.
