World Extreme Games pump up the adrenaline

The world’s most prestigious action sports competition, Kia World Extreme Games 2015 will return to Shanghai for the ninth time over five thrilling days from April 28 to May 3.

As one of the most action-packed sports competitions taking place in Shanghai, the Kia World Extreme Games is an annual must for fans of such sports. More than 200 top athletes from 25 countries and regions will compete in the games.

Where to try climbing in city

As one of the earliest climbing gyms in Shanghai, it has both indoor and outdoor walls. All the walls have different colors to distinguish the degree of difficulty. The green wall is said to be the easiest. Professional coaches will guide climbers. The gym often holds rock climbing activities and lectures to promote the sport. It also has a venue in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province.

Owned by the famous sportswear brand The North Face, it is one of the best high-end climbing gyms in Shanghai. Located near Nanjing Road Pedestrain Mall, it draws numerous visitors to enjoy the trendy place with a modern design, complete climbing facilities and professional coaches.

Beginners will find this facility a good introduction to the sport since its climbing walls are not so high or difficult. Climbing walls are white with colorful holds in various shapes. The coaches are skillful and provide some useful tips. Video game machines are provided during rest periods.
