Valentine’s Day concert features the world’s best love songs

The right music can work miracles when it comes to setting a romantic atmosphere for Valentine’s Day, and there’s no doubt that a good love song can affect our state of mind.

To celebrate the day of love, a classical English love songs concert is being held tonight at the Shanghai Convert. Singers and musicians from around the world will offer some of the best music for a romantic evening.

From romantic opera arias that capture the intense flush of a first love, to tear-jerking love themes from some of the most romantic stories ever told, the 24 songs to be present on stage are divided into four parts to portrait the four seasons of the year.

You will have world-renowned performers giving fine renderings of songs by some of the most beloved and respected singers of our time, such as Marvin Gaye’s “Aint No Mountain High Enough,” the Eagle’s “Best of My Love,” Seal’s “Kiss from a Rose,” and the Beatles’ “Twist and Shout” as well as songs by Justin Timberlake, Whitney Houstan and Aretha Franklin.

Date: Tonight, 7:30pm-9pm

Venue: Shanghai Concert Hall

Admission: 180 yuan - 380 yuan

Address: 523 Yan’an Rd E
