JJ Lin looking to find nostalgic ‘Sanctuary’ in Shanghai

TO 1980s and 1990s music lovers, JJ Lin is remembered as a versatile singer specializing in nostalgia.

Lin returns to Shanghai in March as part of his world tour entitled “Sanctuary.”

Lin Junjie, professionally known as JJ Lin, is a Singaporean singer, songwriter, record producer and actor based in Taipei.

He hit the music mainstream with his first album “Music Voyager,” which thrust him into the spotlight as the Best New Artist of Golden Melody Awards in 2004.

The award kicked off his music career and the multi-talented productive star has released a further 12 albums since, including “Haven,” “No. 89757,” “Westside,” “She Says,” “Stroies Untold” and “Message in a Bottle.”

He has gained international fame through several classics from his albums, such as “I’m the One,” “Freeze,” “Flying on Your Wings,” “Simple” and “Sanctuary.”

And last year, Lin collaborated with Luis Fonsi and recreated a new version of the hit “Despacito.”

The first stop of the world tour is Shanghai, before he visits another 24 cities in China, such as Nanjing, Wuhan, Xi’an, Hong Kong and Taipei. Lin will then travel to Australia, Malaysia and his homeland Singapore.
