Award-winning Look Smithsonian exhibit unveiled

“LOOK Smithsonia,” a world-class photography show, will land in Shanghai next month, bringing breathtaking pictures featuring the most exciting moments from human nature.

It is the first time the 15-year-old award-winning photography exhibition has visited Shanghai.

A stunning work titled “The China Red” by Chinese photographer Wang Jian, is among those works that will be exhibited. Taken from a mobile phone, it reveals a lady in a red skirt with an umbrella walking in front of a shadowed red wall. Color, shadow and shape together make a stunning visual impact.

The exhibition is being held by Smithsonian Magazine of the Smithsonian Institution. You may not be familiar with name, but you must have heard the big movie “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian,” which tells the story of how they escape the Smithsonian Museum. As the world’s largest museum, education, and research complex, the institution boasts over one million pieces of rare specimen and art pieces, such as the world’s first airplane, the legendary diamond Queen Mary. The exhibition entered Asia in 2016 in Seoul and it is estimated that over 50,000 people have seen the exhibition.
