UEFA shuts PSG stands over abuse of disabled Blues fans
PARIS Saint-Germain has been punished after disabled supporters of Chelsea were abused at a UEFA Champions League match.
Fan monitoring group Fare alerted UEFA that PSG fans “verbally abused and threw objects” at the visiting Chelsea group during a quarterfinal, first-leg match on April 2. PSG was ordered by the UEFA disciplinary panel on Tuesday to close two sections of Parc des Princes at its next home match in the Champions League group stage. The French champion won 3-1, but was eliminated after Chelsea won the return leg 2-0.
