Ex-France goalkeeper dies
Former France goalkeeper Dominique Dropsy has died. He was 63.
His former club Ligue 1’s Bordeaux said in a statement that Dropsy, who had 17 caps with France from 1978-81 and played one game at the 1978 World Cup, died yesterday morning after fighting a “long disease”. Dropsy, who retired in 1989, had discovered in 2011 that he was suffering from leukemia.
