Croat-Belgian Weber dies
Former dual Croatia and Belgium international Josip Weber died yesterday at the age of 52. The Croat-born forward, whose grandfather was Belgian, had been suffering from cancer. Weber made three appearances for his birthland before going on to win eight caps for Belgium, scoring six goals and taking part in the 1994 World Cup. As a player for CS Bruges and Anderlecht, Weber finished top scorer in the Belgian league on three occasions.
