Super-G postponed
THE men’s super-G was rescheduled to yesterday after heavy snow forced organizers to postpone the opening men’s race of the 2015 FIS Alpine skiing world championships.
“A major winter storm that moved into the Vail Valley early Wednesday morning deposited significant amounts of snow,” the International Ski Federation said in a statement. “Due to heavy snow and gusty winds the jury decided to postpone the race.” The super-G was scheduled to begin at 11am (local time) on Wednesday at the Colorado ski resort, but organizers decided to postpone the race an hour before the start time. Officials rescheduled the super-G to 11am yesterday.
