Grange stuns field

FRANCE’S Jean-Baptiste Grange closed the alpine ski world championships by producing a blistering second slalom run on Sunday to upset pre-race favorite Marcel Hirscher and claim his second career worlds title.

Grange won after World Cup overall leader Hirscher failed to finish after missing a gate. Fritz Dopfer took silver while his German compatriot, World Cup slalom leader Felix Neureuther, took the bronze in 1:58.02.
