Noves to become France coach after World Cup
TOULOUSE coach Guy Noves will replace France coach Philippe Saint-Andre after the Rugby World Cup.
The French rugby federation says Noves has been appointed for a four-year term and will start in November after the tournament in England which ends on October 31. Since taking over from Marc Lievremont, who led France to the World Cup final in 2011, Saint-Andre has won only 15 of 37 games. He has overseen poor results in the Six Nations, with France finishing no higher than fourth and even last in 2013. Noves, who has led Toulouse to four European Cups and 10 French titles, said: “I’m the first supporter of the France team and I wish with all my heart that it has a great World Cup.” The 61-year-old was chosen from eight candidates.
