Pak withdraws
PAK Se-ri has withdrawn from the US Women’s Open next month at Lancaster Country Club. Pak was the first South Korean to the US Women’s Open, and she inspired an entire nation. She won in 1998 at Blackwolf Run in Wisconsin in a playoff, and went on to a World Hall of Fame career. The US Golf Association did not say why the 37-year-old Pak withdrew on Monday. She was replaced by Georgia Hall of England. The US Women’s Open tees off on July 9.
