Hsu seizes early lead at CTBC Ladies Open

HSU Wei-ling demonstrated why she is the Chinese Taipei player to watch yesterday when the 20-year-old carded a 3-under 69 to take the opening-round lead at the CTBC Ladies Open.

In the first regular season tournament, Hsu was one shot ahead of Tsai Pei-ying and Huang Yu-chen.

Malaysian Michelle Koh and Chen Liqing from China’s mainland were two off the pace after rounds of 71 in Taipei.

In Selangor, Malaysia, India’s Anirban Lahiri stepped into the early lead with a 7-under-par 64 in opening-round play at the Worldwide Holdings Selangor Masters yesterday. Compatriot SSP Chowrasia shot a 66 for a share of second with Chinese Taipei’s Chan Yih-shin.
