Windies pull out of tour
INDIAN cricket authorities say the West Indies will quit its tour after the fourth one-day international yesterday because of a pay dispute at home with its cricket board and players’ union.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India made the announcement in a statement yesterday, and said it was shocked. The visitors, only halfway through the tour, will not compete in the fifth ODI, a one-off Twenty20, and three tests. The BCCI says it made several appeals to the West Indies Cricket Board to honor its commitment.
