Li in Cchinese first for Australian Big Bash
AUSTRALIAUSTRALIA’SS Sydney Sixers have signed Hhong Kong-born leg-spinner Li Kai Ming — a first for China — to a rookie contract in this season’s Big Bash Twenty20 League, which begins next month.
The 24-year-old Li, who has played official Twenty20 internationals for China’s Kong against Afghanistan and the United States, says he became a leg spinner after watching YouTube videos of former Australia great Shane Warne. Li may not play a game in the Big Bash league but hopes to make the best of his opportunity. In a statement on Monday he said he “looks forward to the challenges this experience will provide which I know will go a long way in helping me achieve my cricketing goals.”
