Kolkata to host final
EDEN Gardens in Kolkata will host the final of next year’s World Twenty20 on April 3.
India is hosting the sixth edition from March 11. The other venues are New Delhi, Mumbai, Mohali, Chennai, Bengalore, Dharamsala, and Nagpur, the Board of Control for Cricket in India said yesterday. Eden Gardens, which seats 66,000, staged the Cricket World Cup final in 1987, when an Allan Border-led Australia beat England by seven runs. It also hosted other World Cup games in 1987, as well as in 1996, and 2011.
