THOUSANDS of children aged between 9 and 13 years took part in a 4.2-kilometer “mini marathon” in Shanghai over the weekend. The Shangma Speed X Series Kids Run, starting and finishing at Shanghai Children’s Art Theatre on Miaojiang Road, set two disciplines — a 4.2km mini marathon for 9 to 12- year-old kids, and a 3km family run for 5-8 year olds. The winner of the mini marathon Zhao Wenbo completed the route in 14 minutes and 51 seconds.
