CAFL heads to Qingdao for third round action

The third stop of China American Football League (CAFL) will be held at Qingdao’s Guoxin Gymnasium this weekend.

Shanghai Skywalker will take on Shenzhen Naja in a 2pm match on Saturday, while Dalian Dragon Kings face Guangzhou Power at 7pm the same day. Hosts Qingdao Clippers will play against Beijing Lions at 3pm on Sunday.

The 12,000-seat venue is also the home court of CBA team Qingdao Eagles.

Six teams are taking part in the opening season of CAFL, featuring 132 players from home and abroad. Foreign players from the US and Europe count for about half of the total amount.

In the previous games, Shanghai Skywalker lost to Beijing Lions 53-54 in the capital city on October 2. But they beat Guangzhou Power 45-32 in Dalian to claim their first victory. The league will also visit Guangzhou and Shenzhen before coming to Shanghai next month.
