Buccaneers acquire Ward
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are poised to add TJ Ward to their roster, agreeing to terms on a one-year deal with the former NFL Super Bowl winning safety on Sunday. The Bucs appear to have won the sweepstakes to get the 30-year-old Ward who was released on Friday after three seasons with the Denver Broncos, ESPN reported on Sunday. Ward is expected to sign a one-year, US$5-million contract with the Bucs, who made room for him by dealing JJ Wilcox to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
