Golden Riner

France’s Olympic champion Teddy Riner once again claimed the world title in the 100-kilogram category at the judo world championships in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday. Guadeloupe-born Riner beat Brazil’s Rafael Silva by ippon in the final to claim his fifth world gold in the category and his sixth overall, to go with the Olympic gold he won in London last year. His first world title was also won in the Brazilian city, in 2007, when he was aged just 18.
