CYCLIST Gianni Da Ros has been banned for 20 years by the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) for doping. Da Ros was sentenced yesterday and received one of the heftiest bans handed out by CONI. He was arrested in March while training with Italy's national cycling team. CONI banned two other cyclists for doping -- Davide Lucato received an eight-year sentence and Albino Corazzin was suspended for two years.
