Hu Promotes Asia Region Integration

PRESIDENT Hu Jintao said yesterday he hopes the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation leaders summit will send a "clear and strong" message against trade and investment protectionism.

"We hope the meeting will achieve advances in regional integration, improve the trade and investment environment, strengthen regional connections and support developing member economies in capacity building," he said.
