Thrills at national badminton open

THE 2009 China Badminton Open will take place at Yuanshen Sports Center in Pudong New Area from November 17 to 22.

Top players including Lin Dan, Tao Feike and Li Zongwei are scheduled to take part in the event, part of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Super Series.

Shanghai Sports Bureau and Pudong New Area won the right last year to host China's Badminton Open for five years.

Ticket prices range from 20 yuan (US$2.9) to 880 yuan.
