70-year-old rapes granddaughter

A 70-YEAR-OLD man in Jintan city of neighboring Jiangsu Province was arrested for raping his granddaughter in the past year.

His crime was discovered after the 13-year-old girl fell pregnant, Yangtze Evening News reported today.

Police said the suspect surnamed Zeng began to sexually assault the girl from the start of 2008.

Zeng raped her several times when her parents were not home and gave the girl some pocket money from June last year.

Xiao was taken to the hospital by her elder sister because of her growing abdomen in August this year. Doctors said she was four months.

She finally revealed the secret and the baby was terminated.
