INDIVIDUALS will be able to read Chinese rare books and manuscripts housed by Harvard-Yenching Library for free by the beginning of next year.
The National Library of China has reached an agreement with Harvard University Library to jointly launch a project to putting the library's Chinese books online at the National Digital Library of China.
The library will start to receive digitalized data from Havard-Yenching next January. After inspection and indexing, copies of the rare books will be released on the digital platform.
