FROM this month weather forecasters will be able to give predictions eight days in advance in preparation for Shanghai World Expo.

Weathermen will be sent to the Expo zone from the beginning of next year to offer specific forecasts for Expo events.

Today's maximum temperature will be 29 degrees Celsius under the influence of a weak cold front. Another weak cold front on Friday will bring the lows to 22 or 23 degrees, said Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.

The temperature won't exceed 30 degrees this week, according to the bureau.
