China Orders 7.3m Doses Of H1N1 Vaccine

CHINA yesterday ordered 7.3 million doses of swine flu vaccine from two domestic pharmaceutical companies, the first firms to receive production licenses.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology ordered 3.3 million 15-microgram doses from Sinovac Biotech and 4 million from Hualan Biological Engineering. The companies are required to fill the orders within 10 days. The H1N1 vaccines will be reserved by the state and will not go on general sale across the country.
