Elderly man hooked by crane perishes

AN elderly old man was killed yesterday after being dragged by a mobile tower crane for about 20 meters near the intersection of Gonghexin Road and Nanshan Road.

The man, in his 70s, was pulled over when the bags in his hands were hooked onto the southbound vehicle at 6:30am, witness said.
