Woman stabbed to death at shopping center

A WOMAN was stabbed to death outside a shopping center in Minhang District last night, Xinmin Evening News reported today.

The woman was standing near an elevator when another woman rushed to her from behind and stabbed her in the neck and body at Nanfang Shopping Center at around 8:40pm yesterday.

The victim tried hard to escape but the assailant caught her and stabbed her several times again.

The victim fell in a pool of blood and the suspect ran off with the knife.

Dozens of people were nearby but didn?t know something had happened until the victim fell to the ground.

Police detained the suspect early this morning and continue to investigate.
