THUNDERSTORMS are expected to hit Shanghai again today.
Parts of the city will be drenched, with temperatures hovering at between 26 and 31 degrees Celsius, the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau said.
Today is "Slight Heat" according to the Chinese lunar calendar and on July 22 will be "Great Heat" when traditionally the temperatures are expected to peak for the year.
Yesterday rainstorms hit Songjiang, Baoshan, Chongming and Putuo with lighter falls reported throughout the rest of the city. The temperature hit 34 degrees.
The current rain-belt is moving north and is likely to weaken in the coming week.
Temperatures will climb to 35 degrees on Thursday and Friday.
THE temperature will drop to a high of 23 degrees Celsius in Shanghai today from the near 30-degree weather yesterday as heavy rain will fall throughout the day, the city's meteorological bureau said this morning. ...
