Chelsea signs Zhirkov from CSKA Moscow

CHELSEA has signed midfielder Yuri Zhirkov from CSKA Moscow.

New manager Carlo Ancelotti revealed the signing yesterday at his first news conference with the club. Chelsea did not immediately release details of his contract.

Ancelotti also said John Terry would remain captain next season, and that the defender was not for sale at any price.
