BEIJING police said yesterday that they detained an alleged human trafficker from Taiwan as she attempted to leave the mainland from the Beijing Capital International Airport.

The 56-year-old female allegedly confessed to organizing a number of stowaways from the Chinese mainland to Europe since February, the Beijing Public Security Bureau said.
