PASSENGERS trapped in Hongqiao International Airport because of fog or other adverse weather conditions will be able to overnight in cheap bedrooms instead of sleeping in the terminal.
As part of the airport's new terminal project, 494 cheap rooms are being built, today's Oriental Morning Post reported.
The rooms and the new terminal will go into service next year.
Airport officials declined to disclose details of the rooms. But the Oriental Morning Post report quoted an unnamed airport worker as saying that the rooms will be simple and cheap.
