THE waitress who killed a government official and injured another in central China's Hubei Province has been released on bail.

Local police said they received the bail application from Deng Yujiao's lawyers Wang Shaopeng and Liu Gang on Monday. They decided to release her considering that she had surrendered herself to police after the May 10 attack at the Xiongfeng Hotel in Badong County of Hubei's Enshi City, according to www.cnhubei.com, a local news portal Website.

Deng allegedly stabbed the two government officials after the two demanded sex.
