A MAN who detonated explosives on a bus in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong Province, has been jailed for six years, China National Radio reported. The Guangzhou Zhuhai District People's Court announced the verdict yesterday morning.
Huang Xin, 26, a native of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, put a timer and explosives under a seat on a bus at about 3pm on August 21, 2008. The bomb exploded when the bus was traveling along Yanxiang Road about an hour later leaving a 23 by 12-centimeter hole in the bodywork. No one was injured.
