A total of three people died and seven others injured in a car accident Monday night in northwestern China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the local government said today.
At around 8:30 pm yesterday, a black Santana car was in collision with a white one on the No. 315 state highway in Shule County, leaving two people dead at the scene and eight others injured.
One person died later after medical treatment, bringing the death toll to three, the Shule county government said.
The seven injured are in two local hospitals, but are not in critical conditions.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
