ONE worker died and 120 villagers sought treatment in hospital after acid leaked at a chemical factory plant in Zhejiang Province yesterday, Hangzhou-based zjol.com.cn reported today.
A metal pipe on a hydrofluoric acid tank burst at 7:05pm at the Zhejiang Juhua Group's Kaisn Fluorochemical Co at Quzhou City, spraying out acid which burned and killed a worker.
Fumes from the accident spread and 120 people from a neighboring village went to Quhua Hospital for treatment.
