Five people die in burglary bid

FIVE people were killed during a burglary in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region yesterday afternoon, police said.

Three suspects, all male, were involved in the burglary/homicide in a house in Sicheng Town of Lingyun County, Baise City, Guangxi, police said. One suspect had been detained while the other two were at large. The victims were a family of three and two of their four guests, police said. The two other guests were injured, police said. The owner of the house, surnamed Huang. was known to be wealthy, with assets of more than 10 million yuan (US$1.5 million), said a neighbor.
