THE last passenger from the flu-affected Mexican flight that landed in Shanghai has been released from quarantine after testing negative for the H1N1 virus despite running an earlier fever, the Ministry of Health said last night.

The passenger, a Chinese national who had been under quarantine in Yunnan Province, had shown signs of fever, congestion and throat inflammation. But he was freed after he was tested for swine flu by the provincial center for disease control, the ministry said, without releasing further details.
