Hu meets foreign naval delegation heads

CHINESE President Hu Jintao, also chairman of the Central Military Commission, met in Qingdao today with heads of foreign navy delegations attending celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy.

A PLA naval fleet parade, which will include the first public display of China's nuclear submarines, and a fleet review of 21 vessels from 14 foreign countries will be held off the coast of Qingdao later today.
