AC Milan releases Brazilian midfielder Emerson

BRAZILIAN midfielder Emerson has been released from his contract with AC Milan due to "personal reasons" the club said yesterday.

The move ends Emerson's two-year stay at Milan, for whom he played 39 matches in all competitions, including 11 Serie A games this season.
