Expo volunteer drive set to begin

THE Shanghai World Expo organizer will begin recruiting 70,000 volunteers from May 1 to look after visitors.

People aged 17 or older can apply and the application deadline is December 31 this year.

At the same time another 100,000 volunteers aged 16 or above will be recruited to work outside the Expo site.

The volunteers will need to be available for least two weeks.

Applications can be made online or at World Expo service centers.
