Gambling den busted in Jing'an

FOURTEEN people, including eight foreigners, were detained or fined by police for gambling in a residential complex in Jing'an District, the Shanghai Exit-Entry Administration said yesterday.

Investigators caught 14 gamblers, who played "Texas Hold'em," a type of poker, in a rented room on Xinzha Road about 1am on March 19. Nearly 30,000 yuan (US$4,389) was also seized.
