THE Jing'an District governor was in court yesterday - but only as an observer. He saw lawsuits filed by two local residents against a police decision rejected.
The police had detained Wang Jing for 10 days and fined her 500 yuan last December after she had beaten a neighbor. Both she and the neighbor had filed lawsuits saying they weren't satisfied with the police decision. Zhang Renliang said district government officials were attending cases against government departments to help them make better administrative decisions.
