CHINA Eastern Airlines will introduce online and mobile phone boarding in Shanghai this year to cut the boarding time to just one minute, the carrier said yesterday.
With the online service, passengers will be able to choose their seats and print out boarding passes from the carrier's Website.
Passengers using the mobile phone service will be able download a barcode which can be scanned at the airport to print out a boarding pass.
Although online boarding passes are in use in more than 30 cities in China, Shanghai has not offered the service yet. In Beijing, passengers on Shanghai-based flights can print their own boarding passes.
