Gang stole from migrant workers

POLICE in Minhang District have arrested eight members of a gang suspected of stealing money from migrant workers, officials said yesterday.

In one incident, an Anhui-Province victim surnamed Yan lost 5,000 yuan (US$731) after gang members distracted him by pretending to throw a wallet full of money on the ground. They then switched his bag for one of their own.
